As the title suggests, I was trawling through music last night and stumbled upon the record label that's uploaded all of Palmbomen's early albums called NON Recordings. I'm pretty sure they are long out of business with their website being taken down and social media accounts lying untouched for years, but thankfully they still have a vast library of mixtapes and songs for me to sift through on SoundCloud. One called 'Palmbomen Mixtape for the Moon Children E.P.' included a tracklist and was an actual goldmine. It's almost like Kai uploaded every song that inspired him while making the album, and every track contains a recognisable quality that was taken and played around with while creating Moon Children. It has everything from weird synthy new-age tracks to 80's classics. This is great for me because I love the album and was unapologetically copy-pasting the names of songs into Spotify and YouTube all night. I also found it amusing that a couple of mixtapes were recorded for Vice, reminding me of an era when Vice was actually on the pulse of edgy youth culture. Hahaha, don't even get me started on Vice. I could rant all day, but ultimately I am still a fan, even if it isn't what it used to be. It is wild to think that they had anything to do with Palmbomen or that scene given the American conglomerate they are today (and a failing one at that).

There was also a mention in a comment section about a film called 'Prince', that reportedly used the song 'Stock' in their trailer which I gave a watch. Honestly, the trailer banged, but according to reviews that was the best part of the entire movie. I will give it a watch at some point and get back to you with an update on what I thought.
